All Northern Honor Band (NCBA)

NCBA is a honor band combining the best young musicians in about 100 schools in Northern California. It is a three day experience where students rehearse and preform music. To be acceped into the NCBA you need to submit an audition tape. I worked extreamly hard on the audition pieces and am now learning the songs that are going to be played in the actual band. The experience of the NCBA has taught me that hard work pays off. During the audtion process, I started to doubt that I would get accepted but I kept working hard. Laffayete Summer Music Jazz Workshop

This is a one week event that gathers the best jazz musicians from around the Bay Area to teach young jazz musicians. I've been going to this workshop for two years now and learned so much. In just one week, I learn from many different musicians and hear their stories about music. Click the image to visit the LSMJW website.

Going to music workshops is something that I love to help me grow as a trumept player. These workshops are great opportunities to learn from mentors other than my private teacher or school band director.
